Isabella's Banded Skirt Pattern Test {FREE pattern}

I love sewing up simple, sweet skirts for my girls so I was really excited to get to test this adorable Isabella's Banded Skirt pattern for Melissa, the designer at Bella Sunshine Designs.

I have been fortunate enough to test several patterns from Bella Sunshine Designs and I LOVE all her designs! Her PDFs are so thoughtfully put together and have such great diagrams and instructions. I have had some bad luck with poorly written PDF patterns in the past so I just adore how clear Bella Sunshine Design's pattern are and how she explains everything so concisely. I also really appreciate that she provides both cutting measurements and pattern pieces for the rectangle pieces of her patterns, so you can cut out your fabric the way you prefer--either by measuring it out yourself or pinning pattern pieces. {I prefer pattern pieces myself. I have a real dislike for patterns that are only measurements.}

Isn't this just the perfect skirt for the upcoming Spring? The fit is perfect for my little girl {I made the 12 month pattern for my tiny 18-month-old}.

 I ended up making two skirts because I just couldn't help myself.

I love the contrasting band at the bottom of the skirt and there is the option to add a trim {ribbon, ric rac, or anything else your little heart desires}, like this skirt...

...or leave it simple.

Not only is this pattern perfect for Spring but also for Easter! I had to make my little one a skirt using this little bunny print.

The skirt is extremely comfortable, with an elastic waist and is also a nice, modest length for my little climber and mover.

It's so great to have a skirt that doesn't show off her little diaper when she bends over.

But the best part about this pattern: it's FREE!!!

Just head over to Bella Sunshine Designs page at Craftsy and download your free copy.

The pattern is sized from 12 months up to size 10 and looks cute on any little girl!

I can't wait to make more of these adorable skirts for my daughter's spring wardrobe. It's the trifecta of patterns: cute, simple, and free!! Doesn't get much better than that!
