Rustic Bridal Shower

It's hard to believe, but in exactly one week, my baby sister is getting married!

I come from a family of seven children (yes, you read that correctly!) and she is the youngest of the bunch. A few weeks ago, I had the honor of throwing her a Bridal Shower. And today, I'm going to share it with you! :)

They decided to go with a rustic theme for their reception, so I wanted the bridal shower to be along a similar vein. Think mason jars, a barn setting and cowboy boots, y'all!

I found these printable invitations created by Coco Stine Designs on Etsy and knew they'd be perfect for her party.

We were lucky enough to find a fantastic restaurant with a rustic feel to hold her shower at. The big stone fireplace was the perfect focal point.

The monogram "G" was a clearance steal from Hobby Lobby for $8, marked down from $40! Holla!

The "Bride to Be" banner was another amazing Etsy find. Heather from Any Occasion Banners hand paints these beautiful banners onto chip board- she can customize for any color and occasion. And I LOVE how this turned out!

We created a custom menu specifically for her shower. It was a Sunday brunch, so both breakfast and lunch items were served!

Instead of buying mason jars for centerpieces, I opted for a cheaper and craftier option. I purchased the BIG cans of baked beans from the store, cleaned them up (no more paper and sticky glue on the outside) and then gave them a coat of spray paint. The morning of the shower I went to the local grocery store and bought orange roses and an assortment of mums to put in them. They turned out beautifully!

My Mom also purchased blue and orange M & M's online with their wedding date and names on them. We put them on the tables in glass cut bowls found at Goodwill.

In the corner of the room we had a small table with the rustic photo display that I made, along with a large mason jar full of flowers and this pretty print that I purchased on Etsy from Just a Bird Printables.

Also on the table, were these advice for the bride cards. Everyone who attended the shower filled one out and then I placed them in a 4x6 photo album for my sister to take home. In case you're wondering, the cards were purchased from the Etsy shop, Vivid Lane Designs. (Are you starting to notice a pattern here? #etsyaddict)

We played a few games, including the Newlywed Game, which was really funny! I sent my sister and her fiancé questions to answer about the other before the shower. Then, I wrote down their answers on cardstock and quizzed them in front of the guests. It was funny to see what their answers were. They both did pretty well. But, her fiancé is not letting her forget that she said his favorite food was "hot dogs", when really it's steak! Ha ha!

For favors, we had a local company, Sweetie Pies and Cakes, create these beautiful mason jar cookies. They came out just right and were SOOO good!

It was wonderful having all of my little sister's close friends and family there to shower her with love before her special day! We are all so incredibly excited for her and her fiancée to spend the rest of their lives together. They truly are a perfect pair! :)
