Much Ado About Monday {No. 54}

This weekend was a busy one for us. We are getting ready to put our rental home up on the market and are starting renovations to it. When we moved into our current home, the market was a little low (great time to buy, NOT a great time to sell) so we decided to rent out our first home. Now that our tenants have moved out and the market is up again (Woohoo!), we are hoping to sell. However, the house needs some upgrades to help it {hopefully} sell very quickly.

It has been a little hard handing over the reins of the renovation to a contractor because we know how to do most of the work but we just don't have the time. Especially with three kids and another house to work on. We spent several hours on Friday outlining what needed to be done, all day Saturday working on our current home {weeding, mulching, and trimming...oh my!}, and then most of Sunday running around picking out new flooring and other trimmings for the renovation. I was a little thankful that a bar-b-que with friends and our bluebonnet photo session was rained out on Sunday so we could have a little break in the evening. Whew!

We were busy on the blog this week too, with a wonderful guest post on decoupaged terra cotta pots from Olivia over at DIYMother.org and Jill shared her DIY Chalk paint recipe.
