Friday Features {No. 35}

So, guess who is going to be cooking {roasting? baking?} a turkey for the very first time in two short weeks? That would be me. Gobble, gobble. I am hosting the family's Thanksgiving this year {also for the first time} and when I originally volunteered, it was only going to be a portion of my immediate family. Maybe 6 adults, including myself and Collin. No biggie, right? Now, the number has swollen to 14 adults and 7 kids. I love my big, extended family. So now instead of a tiny little 8 pound turkey, I am going for a 20 pound bruiser. Bring it on, turkey. I'm not afraid of you.

In preparation of the big day, I have been running around like a mad woman with a list titled "Things to do before T-Day", trying in vain to cross things OFF the list instead of putting things ON the list. It seems to be a losing battle. In any case, having so much to do certainly made my week go by quickly.

Over here at the blog this week, we shared a yummy taco soup recipe, perfect for those winter evenings ahead. And our PinkBlush Maternity Giveaway is still going strong, so be sure to stop by and enter to win a gift card towards some really cute maternity and/or nursing clothes.

And now that it's Friday, that means it's time for the Friday Features! Wa-hoo!

I'm off to try and cross some things off my T-Day list. God willing.

  1. Good luck with the turkey. I am sure you'll do fine. Our immediate family is like 22 people. So If I can do that I know you can do 14.
