Fall Front Porch Decor

 {This post has been featured on AllParenting.com}

Before I start in with today's post, we wanted to quickly share some exciting news with our wonderful readers! Starting today, Huckleberry Love will be offering sidebar advertising for other blogs and Etsy shops for a very affordable price! Pop on over to our PR page to find out more! We can't wait to promote YOU! :)

One of my all-time favorite things to do once Fall rolls around is to decorate my front porch. There's just something about colorful, blooming mums and bright pumpkins that make me smile. :)

It definitely does not feel like Fall here in Texas, but I'm doing my best to get into the spirit regardless of the 90 degree temps!

I created this cute pumpkin patch sign in about 10 minutes using old fence boards, acrylic paint, twine and my staple gun. It adds a fun touch of whimsy to my makeshift porch pumpkin patch. :)

I found all of the mums, pumpkins and even the hay bale at the Houston Garden Center. They had amazing deals and the whole porch transformation cost me less than $60. Holla!

The little Fall "broom" is actually an old wreath that's hung on my door for years. I finally replaced it this year with a handmade wreath of my own, but I just couldn't get rid of it. As for the apple bucket, I found it one day while I was wandering the aisles of Home Goods. I'm smitten. :)

Here's my new wreath! It took quite a labor of love to create, but I LOVE the result! It's a burlap bubble wreath made with my favorite yellow polka dot burlap ribbon from Hobby Lobby. I used this tutorial from Today's Fabulous Finds as a guide, although I did stray from it a bit to create my own special look. In case you want to make this style wreath, I'll let you know that I used a 14 inch straw wreath form and almost 75 feet of burlap ribbon to get this look. I cut the burlap into 2.5 inch by 2.5 inch squares and this was the result. :)

I really like the fact that it has Fall colors, but doesn't scream Fall. It will be an easy wreath to accessorize for almost every season! And isn't the little yellow bird the sweetest?

{If you're not interested in making your own, be sure to check out this beautiful wreath for sale in my Etsy Shop! I'd love to create one just for you!}

I hope you've enjoyed taking a peek at our front porch! Thanks for stopping by. :)

Have you decorated your house for Fall yet? Is there Fall weather in your neck of the woods?
